Exclusively on Steam, live player figures peaked at nearly 750,000. Nevertheless, regardless of its fanfare, a growing number of players are protesting against several of the title's toughest challenges, which are required to obtain particular firearms. Gamers have begun turning to personalized games created through Battlefield Portal to finish these tasks, emphasizing just how demanding these missions have become. Grasping Battlefield 6 Assignments Missions serve as Battlefield 6's ongoing multiplayer objectives, as opposed to the regularly refreshed everyday and weekly missions. There are four classes of assignments, but where most merely grant outfits and select equipment, achieving the firearm tasks is the exclusive means of acquiring a dozen out of forty-one primary weapons available in the game. Some of these restricted firearms may soon make their appearance on lists of the top weapons in Battlefield 6. Community Frustration on Reddit Within Reddit, players are justifiably sharing their frustrations about how difficult and grindy some of these challenges are. One user pointed out one of the most extreme examples, mandatory for acquiring the KTS100 MK8 LMG: Neutralize 300 foes with LMGs Cause 10,000 non-ADS damage with LMGs "This challenge is so terrible and entirely ill-conceived, I want to tear my hair out," is a quote that summarizes just how excessively challenging these tasks are. The suppression feature in the game is less effective than in previous titles in the series, so it doesn't have anywhere near as many advantages in battle as it had in previous games. It only registers as suppression if you fire a burst without hitting the target. Meanwhile, firing an LMG without aiming is extremely unreliable and only works at very short distances, which is seldom the location you prefer to be. The commenter also noted the contradiction in the SMG challenge, required for the SCW-10, which needs takedowns using ADS, when that task would be far more appropriate to hipfire kills, and the other way around. Another Ridiculously Tough Task Another Reddit user highlighted an additional excessively hard challenge, this time in the marksman rifle class to obtain the PSR: Achieve 150 headshot eliminations over 200m with long-range weapons This is challenging enough on its own, but there's an additional crucial factor to consider: many Battlefield 6 maps do not even allow combat at that kind of range. There's a healthy variety of map sizes, but given there are merely nine maps in the game currently, it means you're limited to playing New Sobek City, another expansive area, and possibly Operation Firestorm at a push if you plan to engage from afar from over 200m away. The Bypass There is a workaround though: Battlefield Portal. The Battlefield Portal is a tool that allows you to make custom game modes on the battleground of your choice, including AI opponents. This allows you can bypass the intended method… but it isn't truly in line with the spirit of the game. But when doing the challenges in a standard match appears to work against fun, since you are forced to participate in such an unorthodox manner that harms both you and your squad, is it surprising for finishing these in a custom game so teammates aren't hindered? Potential Changes It won't come as a surprise if several of these tasks are adjusted to be less difficult in the next few updates, because should they remain unchanged, a portion of the user base simply won't get their hands on the restricted guns. Currently, the community continues to share their thoughts on these demanding battlefield assignments, expecting a less arduous overall gameplay in future updates.
