A man assisting in barricading a synagogue in the Manchester area has described how a deadly assault unfolded, resulting in the loss of a pair of community members.

On Thursday morning, the survivor was within the worship center when the assailant rammed a car into and attacked with a knife members gathering for a observance to commemorate Yom Kippur.

The witness stated that the 'evil' attacker attempted to bash down the entryways of the place of worship, and he recalled locking down the building with additional worshippers.

The victims, in their 50s and 60s were killed in the incident on that day, while three others were hurt while attempting to defend worshippers.

Eyewitness Testimony of the Violence

He, who serves as a Chair of the Trustees at the temple, recounted securing the doors and said that the assailant used blades and garden containers to attempt entry.

I witnessed a large, menacing figure ram the main doors, trying to bash them down with a knife in his hand," he told reporters.

The sole statement that was audible he uttered 'this is what you're going to get for killing our children'.

Just those words were spoken. We stood inside the building and we were saying 'we are not letting this man in'.

He acted like a crazed, violent individual."

Funeral Observed for Individual

These comments were made as hundreds of people attended the ceremony for Mr Cravitz.

Relatives, members from the synagogue group as well as a religious leader, and individuals of the Jewish population came together in a nearby location to show support.

Attendees occupied the burial ground, with a number gathering outdoors the chapel in the rain, listening to the service and eulogy over audio systems.

In a message released on Friday, the victim's loved ones said that he had a helpful nature.

Police Inquiry and Detentions

Local authorities reported that Mr Daulby was likely hit by law enforcement rounds as they shot the attacker shortly after the emergency call.

Mr Daulby, who was hailed by his family as a "brave individual", was present at a ceremony at the temple when the attack unfolded.

"He was a dear family member, loving uncle to his several nieces and a nephew and a cherished cousin," his family added.

His loved ones are devastated by the tragic, sudden death of a kind and humble individual.

His last actions demonstrated great bravery and he will forever be remembered for his courageous effort."

Several arrests were conducted in connection with the attack, and officials stated that four people were under arrest on that time.

All four were arrested on suspicion of involvement in terrorist acts.

The suspects are two men, of specific ages and detained in the local area; a 61-year-old woman apprehended in the area; and a middle-aged female arrested in Farnworth.

Other suspects were freed with no further action, police stated on the following day.
